2012 CARMEN MORESCHINI/ICGSA SCHOLARSHIP

 

The Carmen Moreschini/ICGSA Scholarship program was established in 1990 to honor our first ICGSA president, Carmen Moreschini.  The purpose of this scholarship is to award an ICGSA member a $500 scholarship to further an education-related degree that will help them stay in education and coaching fields.   

 

Grace Scott, Lewis Cass Jr. Sr. High School, Member of ICGSA for 3 years, Head Girls Track Coach at Lewis Cass Jr. Sr. High School for three years – prior to that she was the assistant Track coach for two years. Her track teams have been the Cass County Champions for the past three consecutive years and won the Southwood Invitational track meet 2 straight years.  In her short time as a head track coach she has had two athletes that have participated at the state meet and are now competing in track at the University of Richmond and Marion University.   A graduate of Franklin Community High School she earned her degree in English Education at Purdue University, and began her teaching career at Logansport High School prior to moving to Lewis Cass Jr. Sr. High School where she currently teaches English and serves as the Yearbook Advisor.  Grace is currently pursing her Masters Degree in secondary education at Ball State University.
