  On Sunday, June 14th, at the University of Indianapolis Tennis Center, The 11th Annual Senior North-South Tennis All-Star Event was held. 
The North was victorious over the South with a 13-9 win to take back the Cup from the South.  The tournament, sponsored by the ICGSA(Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association)
featured standout players from across the state in both singles and doubles.
Playing for the North Team, coached by Jerry Gerig (FW Canterbury) and Tim Wright (West Lafayette) were Rachel Barger (Adams Central), Kristina Carson and Abby
Fritchley (Cardinal Ritter), Megan Renninger (Carmel), Paola Usina (Cathedral), Rachel Lindgren (Eastern), Whitney Owens (Mississinewa), Kelsey Watson (Mount Vernon),
Lauren Wilson (Shenandoah), Elizabeth Bremer (West Lafayette).  Competing for the South's Squad, coached by Matt DeVault (Alexandria) and Pat Slama (Zionsville) were
Melissa Montgomery (alexandria), Kelly Fritz (Arsenal Tech), Lindsey White (Batesville), Kristen Davidson and Shanna Jenkins (Centerville), Cheslea Hook (Franklin Community),
Stephanie Gartrell and Kathryn Vance (Roncalli), Eileen Dinnin and Lauren Formulak (Zionsville).
  At the conclusion of the match, an awards ceremony honored the players.  Also, the ICGSA Tennis Scholarship was awarded to Haley Richardson of Delphi Community High School. 
The ICGSA is proud to offer this award to encourage young women to offer leadership beyond the tennis court.  
  It was a fun-packed day full of competition and new friendships, highlighted by honoring these talented athletes.  
  The following coaches were named District Coach of the Year:  Tim Shideler(Valparaiso H.S.-District 1), Bruce Fleming(Mississinewa H.S.-District 2),
Sharon Rosenburgh(Carmel H.S.-District 3), Rusty Highes(Franklin H.S.-District 4), Tony Bacon(Mount Vernon H.S.-District 5).
